NO KIDS RECAP!

WOW life without kids around is different.  My mom was so super sweet and took the boys home yesterday so Aaron and I could have some time alone without them.  It really means I get to sleep in, go to coffee shops, not cook for kids, and don’t have to answer “why” 100,000 times in [...]

GREAT NIGHT!

Madame Bernard Exantus

It is so hard to stay connected to a country that I only visit a few times a year to see my kids there.  I find myself forgetting about life there and when I remember I’m ashamed and mad at myself for forgetting.  Life gets crazy here and sometimes I forget about life in Haiti.  [...]

Haiti and Mac n’ cheese

Aaron’s cousin, Ryan & his beautiful wife Traci are helping get stuff for the RC.  They set up a box in their coffee shop and will send the stuff to us.  Isn’t this wonderful!

Southwest Airlines Birthday wishes!

Aaron got a “happy birthday” card today from Southwest Airlines.  Weird?  I was hoping I would open it up to find a free one way ticket birthday wish.
No such luck.  Seems like a waste of paper to me.  I didn’t even show him.  It went right in the recycling bin.

A few weeks ago Cayden busted his head running through our house. Today I got the bill.
Did you know that if a four year old busts their head open and needs four stitches at the emergency room it will cost $718. Wow. Four stitches!
Oh but wait … just found another bill for $594.40 [...]

food – salty or sweet?

If you know me then you know that my weakness is not a chocolate cake or ice cream.  Oh no.  I could go the rest of my life without those things.  My weakness is snack food.  Salty foods.  CHeese.
Last night we had a party over here for the Bush’s.  Today I’m feasting on left overs.  [...]

My man is THIRTY.

Today is a special day.  The day that the love of my life is celebrated each year.  I’m so grateful for his life and for his time here on earth.  I am honored to know him and to go through life with him.  He truly is the wind in my sails.   I will follow this [...]
